The volume under review is a companion to the recent appearance of Dietrichs Flucht: Textgeschichtliche Ausgabe, edited by Elisabeth Lienert and Gertrud Beck (Tübingen: Niemeyer, 2003), which is identical in approach, editing procedure, and in large portions of the introductory text, since both editions treat essentially the same manuscripts and versions.
